Refund and Returns Policy

Returns

Our refund and returns policy lasts 14 days. This is in accordance with United Kingdom and European Law, customers have an unconditional right to cancel an order for a full refund. If 14 days have passed since your good’s have been delivered, we can’t offer you a full refund or exchange.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging. If a customer wishes to return an item and cancel the order, they must do so within the 14 day period. This period will commence on the day the good’s have been delivered to the customer. It is not Tankstation’s responsibility to pay for the return of the goods (see T&C’s for more information).

Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.

If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within a certain amount of days.

A large percentage of our products are heavy and bulky, they are expensive to transport. please be sure you are ordering the correct product to avoid expensive return costs. Goods must be returned in an (as new) and re-sellable condition.

We cannot offer refunds on bespoke/made to order items.

Orders that arrive damaged

Our goal is to make buying products online from us easy, safe and efficient. In rare circumstances items can be damaged during transit and we are very mindful of this.

Upon delivery, please carry out the following steps

  • Remove the goods completely from their package
  • Closely inspect the goods for damage or shortfalls
  • Sign for the goods, accordingly, noting damages/shortfalls, refusing the goods. If you cannot check, please still take delivery of the goods but sign for as unchecked. Note, if you sign the delivery as unchecked, you must notify Tankstation of any damages/shortfalls within 24 hours by email to: enquiries@tankstation.co.uk. This way, we can put a claim into the transport company and arrange replacements. Failure to do so means we can not put a claim into the transport company and WILL NOT send out replacements. The office is open seven days a week, from 8 am to 7 pm, including Bank Holidays except Christmas Day and New Years Day. We will repeat and dispatch your order again or arrange a full refund if you have signed for the goods damaged and refused the goods or if you have signed for the goods as unchecked and reported the damage within 24 hours.
  • The driver is obliged to wait 15 minutes for you to carry out these checks if need be. If the driver is not prepared to wait please sign for the goods as unchecked to cover both parties. No claim will be accepted if a clean signature is given. Any claim for damages/shortfall must be made within 24 hours if you have signed for the goods as damaged and refused delivery or signed for the goods as unchecked.

Please note that marks and scratches caused by fastening and securing of the load do not amount to damaged goods.

Late or missing refunds

If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again.

Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.

Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.
